Dangerous Leo and Kensmom shared their pics. They both did a really good job!

Nice Blowout Dangerous Leo!
And as for Kensmom’s first roller set, you did great! How long did it take you? My first set was horrible! lol
oh my goodness..it took me forever..at least an hour. I’m doing it again for my second time in the next couple of days…wish me luck LOL
LOL It took me more than one hour to do my first roller set, I got so angry, I started crying and whining until my mommy came home and then she did it.
problem solved!
Thanks, Nini! (DangerousKleo) I find that if u have a spray bottle, It helps your hair so it wont dry out!
Hola Chica…glad your trip went well…I have a hair question..I have only been doing my own sets and blow for a few weeks now….and I know its not going to be perfect, but I just wonder why my hair always feels dry and frizzy…when I go to salon its usually smooth and silky..but not at home. Like last night I sat under dryer (pibbls) with rolos for an hour than watched tv for another hour..then was too tired to blow so I took rolos out and kept the curl with bobby pins…blew my roots (turbo 1500) in the morning but its just not as smooth and my roots are not as smooth and straight…just trying to figure out what I could be doing wrong…
Hey mija!
Glad you haven’t given up on doing your own hair
Ok…I went through that period where no matter what I did, my hair was just not as smooth and silky as Marybel, or Chuly would get it at the salon.
It always came down to a couple of things:
1. I did not dry completely. If you are absolutely sure that your hair was dry then…
2. Perhaps you put too much product in. This can make your hair limp, or stiff, depending on what and how much you used.
3. This is critical…the ends of your hair must always be smooth when you put in your rolos. The sections/parts can be ugly, crooked, or whatever, but you must always make sure that your ends are smoothed out around the rolos.
4. Once you get the hair smoothed out and know just how long your drying time is (keep in mind, you have a lot of hair, could actually require more time than you think) then you should be able to pull out your rolos and do a dubi, even if the roots are not straight, the ends should be silky.
HTH
I need to find a dominican salon in southern California or anyone who can do a mean Dominican blow-out! HELP!!
Hey amiga, I don’t know of any that are in S. Cali, but I’ll put some feelers out, see what can dig up.
Thanks LaNegra!
it’s been FOREVER since i have been here, but i am back, and really curious to know how to post my own topics on here, including pics. it’s been a long while since i did a blowout, and finally, i did one today(yes). Now that I am having a baby, I’m so lazy, but I want to take care of myself.
So I did a blowout today, took pictures of the result, and would like to show them to you
Congrats on having a baby!
How did your hair turn out?
Right now, there is no way to start your own topic or add pics. You can only do that on forums
email your pics to me and I’d be happy to post them for you!
