this isn't a recipe per se....just plain ole' organic unrefined coconut oil all over my scalp and hair w a plastic cap 30 minutes under the hair dryer pre-poo or overnight the night before I wash has made my hair SUPER strong. I love my beloved Aphogee but I don't have time to do it that often so this coconut oil works in a pinch and is the only oil to really penetrate the follicle and strengthen from the inside out.

I mix 1/2 cup of coconut oil, 1/2 cup of avocado oil and one can of banana baby food (yeah I said baby food, don't judge me LOL). I apply this on my hair (I have ALOT of hair) and leave it on my hair for an hour, covering it with a plastic cap. Afterwards I rinse it out of my hair, then style. The trick is to buy a jar of baby food, otherwise you might get banana pieces all over your hair.

I also like to mix coconut oil, extra virgin olive oil, and honey in a bowl, zap it for 5 seconds and apply it to my hair. This is a great, inexpensive way to do a hot oil treatment. I rinse (no shampoo) and style.

I personally get my hair relaxed a few times a year. My curls are tight, hair gets super duper frizzy and my hair doesn't behave. Since I have limited time, I opt to get a chemical relaxer, but the frequency of relaxing your hair depends on your natural curl pattern and rate at which your hair grows.

Good conditioning and maintenance is a must, regardless to whether your hair is natural or relaxed. If you are trying to get your natural curls to straighten, then you are going to have to find the right product and you need to practice doing a roller set. If you decide to relax your hair, then you have to use products that put moisture back into your hair.

Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum is a favorite, but most of the straightening polishes/serums will give you good results. The recipes listed here are just some DIY things that I do to keep my hair healthy.

Hope this helps

I am confused about what you do. Is it a chemical straightening or just blowing it out using conditioners? I have naturally curly hair that is a pain. I need your help as to how to condition and straighten it.
Thanks
