Sebastian Originals 2 + 1 Reconstructor Treatment
You all know that I’ve been trying to keep up with the questions coming in and each time I get one, I promise myself that I’m going to get it posted, so that everyone can benefit. Well, this was one instance that could not wait.
Hey..I gave in last week and went to the dominicans..but made a new observation I’d like to share. Right before she rolled me up…I was looking at what she puts in my hair because I need to buy some leave in… they usually use the Salerm products, but this time I noticed she used a Sebastian 2+1 conditioner to set my hair with. I tried to ask her about it but her English wasn’t that great…. Have you used or heard of this? When my hair was dry, it was sooooo silky and smooth. Of course I came home and looked it up and found it…. its called 2+1 conditioner because its 2 parts water and 1 part conditioner…. here is a link

Ok, first off…I love Sebastian products, but they revamped their entire line and I have not seen 2+1 for a long, long time.
Currently, Sebastian’s consists of: Flow, Form, Foundation and Flaunt. Each of these subcategories has its own set of products, none of which includes 2+1.
Ok, not a problem, right? Someone may have some left over Sebastian lingering in their stock, right? Maybe, but then why name it Sebastian Original
Thanks for sharing!

At any rate, I know of 2+1 very well, because my stylist used to use it every 2 or 3 months or so. She would apply it AFTER shampooing and then flat iron it in sections, THEN rinse, and apply a leave-in conditioner as usual, prior to rolling my hair.
Now, I could be wrong…very, very wrong, but I do not believe that this a genuine Sebastian product, which means nothing, because if the product works like it did when my stylist used it on me, and it sounds like it does, then it’s worth it. It always left my hair feeling unbelievably silky.
Here’s the problem I have. Your stylist applied to your hair as a leave in conditioner. If the pic you included is the same, then that’s a reconstructor. Reconstructors are protein, deep conditioners and I know of none that are designed to be used at leave-ins, not even Sebastian products.
I did a search to see if I could find the directions, or even the ingrediants and so far have come up empty.
Like I said, it was a good product when my stylist used it and I would use it again, even if it’s a knock-off, but I would not ever use it as a leave in.
If you find out the real scoop be sure to let us know.
