Oily Hair

i wanted to thank you for this site, you understand what it
feels like to have curly hair and having to go thru the process to
make it straight, you provide really good tips and advise,
gracias!!..
quick question, after 2 days my hair starts to get greasy, so a
blowdry does not last me that long..what do you recommend?

Thank YOU for taking the time to email me. I try to answer every email I get quickly, because I know what it’s like struggling with hair woes :)

To answer your question I need to ask a question (or two).
What are you putting on your hair after you blow it out? Are you putting in a lot of leave-in? If so, you may want to cut down on the amount.

If you are using a sheen, spray, or any other post-blowout product, try cutting back on the amount. However, if you happen to have dry ends, which is common amongst us curly heads, then you may still want to put something on put a little product on your ends.

Avoid putting too much product close to your scalp, as you obviously secrete enough natural oils. If you are using a serum and a spray, then try the spray alone. See how that works.

If none of that works, then you may resort to using a little talc on your roots. Some people use baby powder, but I have used a wee bit of corn starch, but SPARINGLY!!

Keep me posted.

Thanks for the tips, actually since i know my hair gets oily rather quickly, all i put on it is heat protectant and a few drops of anti frizz, at first is beautiful, silky and shiny, then it starts goin down hill.

How much heat protectant do you use? Maybe try lightening up on the heat protectant, focusing on the ends…see if that works.
Let me know if you see a difference.
