Are Curlformers Tedious?
Hola LaNegra!
I’ve seen these curlformers in the beauty/barber supply stores and I have to say “yo no se” about these…want to try’em but yo ne se! It seems tedious to do…I need help for my hair in the extreme heat and humidity in DC. My hair is as much as a mixture as my PR, African American and Caucasian ancestry and it will frizz right the you-kno-what up! Ayuda me, por favor, La Negra! Gracias, Mama!
Hola Boricua!!
I have only used curlformers 3 or 4 times, but today was the first time that I could say that I really appreciate what they do for my hair.
Yes, right now they are time consuming to install. However, it took me FOREVER to “perfect” my own roller sets. Perfect is perfect for me, but you may find a different way of putting in your rolos, which is sheer perfection for you. Me entiendes?
So anyway, I did some cardio today and yes, I did sweat, but I had my hair pinned, so that my curls were high. Now, I did frizz a little, but my hair just looked fuller and still curly, but not mega-frizzy.
Now, had I blown my hair straight and THEN gone to do cardio, you can believe that my hair would have:
- gone limp,
- waved up and curled up,
- then eventually frizzed OUT!
I recommend that you buy one pack of curlformers and the hook. Give them a try, go sweat (wow, never thought I’d tell someone to go sweat, LMAO!) and then decide.
On the flip side…things should be cooling off soon, so we won’t have to worry about humidity for a minute
Mil besos!
LaNegra
PS…let me know if you try them and if so, let me know what you think.
