Wearing Wrap for a Week
I have a question for you LaNegra. I keep my hair wrapped from Saturday to the following Saturday because I work-out Monday thru Saturday everyday and I am tried of the poneytail. My co-worker’s look at me strange but I don’t give a cow. It’s going to be winter. I am trying to grow my hair. So to make a long story short is it okay to keep my hair wrapped for so long(a week). I get my hair washed every Saturday after my work-out. So Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday my hair is wrapped. I take the wrap out Saturday and get my hair washed. My work-outs are so intense, I sweat like a pig and I enjoy working out. I tried braids and that was a big no no. I had to cut alot of my hair b/c of those braids. I am not one of those women who knows how to do hair. In my situation I can’t have my cake(work-outs) and ice cream(nice duo). What do you think about my weekly wrap?
Hola BELLA!
Mamita, I am SOOO sorry I didn’t reply sooner! Between work and spam, I can’t get a break.
Anyway, I can totally relate to sweating like a pig. Gurl, it ain’t pretty. As for leaving your wrap…I have never left mine in for that long, just doesn’t work for me. I gave up on curlformers…too much stress on my hair AND takes too much time to put in. Also recently tried the twistable rolos …results are so-so.
My feeling is that if your hair isn’t breaking, do what works. Not combing it means less tension on the hair, which means you probably will retain some length. Don’t be surprised if you see a lot of hair coming out when you comb it; that’s because the hairs that you naturally shed have not been removed during the week. Other than that…if it’s working for you, keep it up. You shampoo regularly and condition regularly; that’s the key!
Again…sorry for not getting back to you sooner.
Mil besos!
