Hi Milagros,

I think that as long as you are no overdoing the protein (hard proteins) that you'll be fine, but I'm going to have to check the ingredients on the two minute reconstructor before I flat-out say that it's good to use frequently.

Now, the other products sound good: the green tea and leave-in, but you want to watch out for your hair taking a turn for the worse. What I mean by this, is if you notice that your hair is getting dry, brittle and breaking, then it's probably due to over use of protein, especially since you are growing out a relaxer. One thing to keep in mind is that you may experience considerable shedding, since you have two textures (relaxed hair and new growth), so this is normal. If you see longer strands, that's typical. If you see shorter, broken hairs, then that is probably from protein.

Hope this helps,
LaNegra

Hey ladies,

have a question for you. can anyone tell me how often is it safe to use Aphogee two minute reconstructor on my hair?

I am transitioning from relaxed to natural. I'm 16 weeks post relaxer. There! i said it. I do a dominican blow out and wrap on my hair, and dry with a hood dryer.
I used the two min, sprayed on the green tea spray and also the leave in conditioner (all by aphogee) noticaebly thicker stronger, fuller . But how often can I use this? I haven't tried the two step - dont think I need it.

Good timing! I was going to post something about detangling. In the meantime, I don't use setting lotions. I have seen a few of the local salons use "Lottabody" but I never liked "setting" lotions or gels. I prefer leave-ins before doing rolos. I will use CHI Silk Infusion or a serum, such as IC Fantasia Frizz buster serum, IC Fantasia Hair polisher treatment. Products such as these don't leave white flaking and don't stiffen the hair.

If, however, you are trying to do Shirley Temple curls, then a setting lotion would be best, as it would hold your curls longer.

I'll get to the detangling ASAP.
