Curlformers – ThIe Verdict

It has been a fun time for me to experiment with curlformers.

I think that they are an incredible product, wish I had thought of it first, but….

they are going BACK to Sally’s.

Today was the first time that I did a blowout and noticed that I had a lot of stray hairs. I had a number of short strands sticking up and I’m sure that they are the result of using curlformers. I’m sure that I would eventually get the hang, of installing them, but I prefer to keep my hair on my head.

Also, the use does cut down on having to sit under the dryer for a long time, but I cannot sleep with curlformers, so it still requires that I sit under the dryer, or wear them for a long time in order to air-dry.

I don’t want to completely knock them; they actually do an awesome job, but I have very fine hair and don’t like all the tugging required to get my length of hair through the curlers.

They do a fantastic job at creating uniform, spiral curls that shine, regardless of hair texture. The curls work better in humidity than a blowout, for my hair, anyway. At least when I frizzed up, my hair had some curl, rather than just puff. I’m just going to go back to doing finger curling and may consider flexi-rods as a quick, down-n-dirty way to get larger curls when I don’t feel like going through the entire rolo-blowout process.

I may give them one, last try, but I really don’t know if I want to risk pulling anymore hairs out.

    Hi!
We were interested to read your review but concerned to hear that you’re having a problem applying Curlformers to your fine hair. It sounds as though it’s also very long, in which case it might help if you apply Curlformers to smaller sections of hair. Have you tried this? It may take a little longer to apply them but by the sounds of it, it would be worth it because you say you love the curls you can create with them. The benefit of taking smaller sections of hair is that it will dry more quickly – especially if you use a soft hood attachment with your hairdryer. One of the best product ranges for fine, fragile hair that we’ve worked with is Nioxin. It treats the scalp and hair follicle and helps to strengthen your hair from the root but without adding weight to the hair shaft. We hope this helps but please contact us via http://www.curlformers.com if we can advise further!

    Hola Sara,
Wow, I have to say I’m really didn’t expect to hear from culformers directly, but totally honored.
I think my best results were actually the first attempt, because I did use smaller sections. I’d be willing to try them again; I really do not like giving up on a product, particularly when I like the results. I’ll look into Nioxin. I don’t know that I have fragile hair, but I’m still willing to try curlformers again :)

Hi Negra, sad to hear this, I hope you don’t return them and get the hang of them. Same thing happened to me with flexirods until I learned how to take smaller bits of hair, I gave the first ones I bought to my sister and then had to go and buy some more for myself.

ROFL!! Mi sobrina already put in a subtle hint. Ok…maybe not so subtle.
But, if I don’t keep ‘em, you’ll be the first to know, because I doubt my niece will ever stop going to the salon for a blowout :)
