Hi ladies!
Hope you all are holding up well during the blistering heat wave. I’m doing well, but I cannot lie…I feel like I’m wearing a wool hat on my head. It’s HOOOOOOT!
I’m trying to decide whether or not to cut a few inches off…I said a few inches, don’t throw anything at me 
I did get a trim the other day, had my layers and ends cleaned up, but now considering taking my hair up to my shoulders.
i know it’s just hair & it will grow back girl, but i thought you joined a girl can mac’s 2 yr waist length challenge. do you rock braids? i find they don’t seem as heavy as wearing all your hair out. also, what about a high pony tail? it seems like such an “investment”. i’d hate to see you set back b/c of the heat. the heat will be over b4 you know it. i feel your pain. we’ve had some pretty humid & unbearably hot days here too. i use wigs for protective styling, so i’m really hot! LOL i just got my fro drawstring pony today. i will be bunning for a month. let us know what you decide girl.

I occasionally wear a few braids, but put them up so I’m “work friendly.”
I may have to try them more often. Having a lot of hair is a blessing, but I don’t have to tell you how HOT it gets during the summer. The high pony doesn’t always work for me, because the weight of my hair ends up pulling my hair, which done too frequently can lead to breakage.
However, I haven’t decided just yet. I’m going to wait until the weather cools off a bit to make a real decision. Like you said, hair length is an investment and if I do a cut now, on impulse, will probably be crying come fall 
Muchacha tu ‘ta loca? You don’t need to cut your hair. Its gorgeous!! I hear ya on the heat tho. ‘Ta ma’ caliente que el diablo! I have natural hair and it reverts in 3 seconds the minute I step outside the house. I love the summer though! I’m trying to figure out how the heck did I ever keep my hair straight in Santo Domingo. Then again I had a desrizado so maybe that’s why LOL

Don’t do it, lanegra, don’t do it! Step away from the scissors! I’m in your same position. Our hair is roughly the same length and thickness (one day I’ll send a pic along with those rollers I was telling you about months ago…remember?), just put it up in a bun/high ponytail and forget it. To quote my grandma (who didn’t want me to put down’ the car window b/c it would blow her freshly styled hair out of place) “Well just cool off!!”
Good, no cut, right? Thank you so much for the compliment. I was two seconds away last week from chopping it all off again, but I took a breath and counted to 10. Its at that crazy in between stage. Anyhoo, thanks to you and so many lovely ladies in You Tube, I’m excited about all the things I can do with these curls once they grow back. Can’t wait to see your solution, or was it the Curl Formers? Loved the look!
Right. No cut. You are so welcome! I really, really wish I looked good with short hair. I would be easy-n-breezy before you could bat a fake eyelash 
The Curlformers seem to be a great solution for me (so far).
You know, once you relax, even if your hair is curly, the curls are different. For me, they are stiff and don’t have the natural spring to them. However, the Curlformers looks natural and I don’t have to worry about my puffy roots, because my roots were actually pretty smooth. Now, all I want to find out is whether or not I can do a quick rinse, put these curlformers in and be frizz-free in an hour or so. If that’s the case, these things are KEEPERS!
