I just ordered a bottle of silk amino acids from www.lotioncrafter.com (Gracías Ayanna!).

At first, I wasn’t sure what I would possibly do with this product, but some of you know this already (Anitra), I am a hair-product junky.  Yes, I know I need help, but today is NOT the day for such help.

Moving right along, after Ayanna gave me the tip on how this was used, I still was a little perplexed and then it occured to me that silk proteins are used in my favorite product, CHI Silk Infusion. So, why not just have a straight shot of the good stuff, right? Right.

Now again, not knowing exactly how I’m going to use this, when I’m going to use it, or how much I need to use, I played it safe and ordered a 4 oz bottle at $11.04. I could have actually purchased as little as 1 oz, but what’s an ounce going to do? I have a lot of hair. What if I like the stuff and only bought one, measely ounce?

You might be asking, “Well, what if you get it and don’t like the stuff?”

I’ll find a use for any left overs; I’m sure.

So, now I’m all psyched!! I cannot wait to get it and use it. I will definitely be reporting back on my findings.

    Whew! You all are a tough crowd LOL!

    I’ll get to an update ASAP. I’m running behind, because it’s taking me to long to unpack. The only thing I labeled was “hair conditioners,” “deep conditioners,” “rolos and blow dryer.” So, my hair looks good since moving, but the rest of me…well, we’ll just skip that :D

    Hola Vicky,

    I have been mixing a little in my deep conditioners, especially the ones that I don’t like. I estimate that if I use 1 or 2 ounces of a conditioner that I put in about a teaspoon to tablespoon of silk amino acid. I was putting it in my hair with my leave-in, but I find the smell is a little pungent. I’m a little paranoid about my hair smelling like sardines LOL.

    If anyone can make recommendations, as to how they are using silk amino acid, that would be wonderful!
