It’s located at 3711 High Point Road, for those in the know, it’s the TJ Maxx shopping center.  The phone# is (919) 638-8207 and the sign out front is advertising doobie’s for $15.00.  I haven’t been, so no co-sign from me; but there was quite a line out front.  That’s usually a good sign.

I am new to this sight and totally new to Domincan blowouts. 3 days
ago, I had no idea what they were but stumbled across and article on
the Internet.

As a half Jamiacan,/Irish-German woman, I was intrigued to find a
place that could tame my curls. I did a little looking and tried a
place near the school where I teach after school today. The salon is
called Dominican Creations and is located at 48th and Balitmore in the
West Philly area.

The salon was quite clean and I had no wait. I got the deep condition
and then wash and blow dry. My goodness, these ladies know how to get
hair straight and shiny. Perhaps too ruthless with the blowdryer and
straight iron for my taste.  I like more curl with my smooth but
that’s a minor complaint. My hair is soft and smooth and shiny.

The total cost for trim, deep condition, wash and blowdry was $47.
That’s not bad IMO. I was out in an hour.

I tried Harlet’s Hair Style Unisex Beauty Salon twice and I love the entire hair treatment that Harlet provides.  Although I love my hair when I leave, the time that I spend in the shop is unbearable.  The first time was definitely crowded so I understand, but the second time there was only myself and another person in the shop and I was still there for 2 hours.  I am going to try Dominican Styles in the next couple of weeks and I will let you know if they are actually dominican and how it worked out.  I am not counting Harlet’s out, but I will only be able to go when have 3-4 hours to spend in the salon (almost never), or desperately need a blow out.
